Nokia launches Dual SIM phones C1 and C2 in India

Nokia has FINALLY launched it’s first Dual SIM phones in India in an event at Delhi yesterday. The C1-00 and C2-00 support usage of multiple SIM cards. It’s interesting that Nokia India managed to get hold of a couple of Models who are identical TwinsBoth the handsets have support for multiple phone book ,long battery life, large screen and local language interface.While the C2 supports Dual SIM Dual Standby , The C1 supports only one active SIM at a time.

C1 has a Call-divert feature using which users can avoid missing calls from the other number.The C1 has a dedicatey to switch the SIM card. The phone has Standby battery life of 6 weeks.The has a flashlight , color display , FM radio with standard headphone jack

Nokia C2 comes Nokia’s services such as Ovi Life Tools and Ovi Mail.It also has a music player with support for micro-SD cards of up to 32GB and FM radio

Mary McDowell, Executive Vice President, Mobile Phones, Nokia was present at the event and said, "As per our deep consumer insights, entry level consumers need dual SIMs for various reasons including economizing time and costs, improving efficiency and for increased convenience. To address these consumer requirements, Nokia has launched these two devices that offer multiple SIM capabilities with a balanced feature set and ‘relevant innovations’ at affordable price points."

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will arrive on European doorsteps later this month, where it will hit their friends across the Atlantic as well as select countries in Asia after that. For those who are not in the know, the Samsung Galaxy Tab will feature a generous 7-inch TFT display that is capable of delivering an unrivaled screen quality for a better viewing experience.

It is pretty lightweight as well, tipping the scales at just 0.84 pounds (380g), where you have a choice of 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. Just in case that is not enough, you can always expand that further by another 32GB thanks to its microSD memory card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will come with Samsung’s own TouchWIZ user interface, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS support, rear and front facing cameras and doubles up as a cellphone as well. We don’t suppose considering the fact that it runs on Android, this could very well be a smartphone (albeit a very large one). Take that, iPad! Since it will be Android-powered, the Galaxy Tab can access various applications from Android Market where applicable. Hopefully the battery life of this thing is going to last at decent levels, since it would definitely be a bummer to view your favorite movie halfway only to have it die on you.

Nokia Launches Dual Sim Phone, Nokia C2, C1 Price India.
Now the Leader enters the competition. Cellphone Market Leader Nokia Launched it’s first Dual Sim Phone with C 1 and C 2 Models in India. They have launched phone with nice features and Lowest cost.

Nokia C 1 Features

A simple phone  to make calls and send text messages, flashlight, FM radio and a super battery up to 6 weeks of use. Estimated price of Rs. 1750

Although the company is yet to divulge price details, it is expected to be within the tag of R2,500. Both models would be integrated with Nokia Life Tools service (for information on healthcare, education and entertainment) as well as Ovi Mail.

Nokia C 2 Features

It Has double SIM, with the tools ofLife Tools Ovi, Ovi Ovi Mail and Chat, FM radio, microSD card slot, VGA camera, Bluetooth and a battery that Nokia says lasts up to 16.5 days of use.

V. Ramnath, director, operator channel, Nokia India, said the company was yet to decide whether the new phones would be manufactured at Nokia’s Chennai facility now or at a later stage when the numbers pick up.

Samsung had launched its dual SIM phones in the country about two years ago. It currently has five dual SIM models in India with price tags ranging from R3,200 to R9,600.

Nokia on Monday launched its dual-SIM mobile phone of two new handsets,

Nokia C1 is a basic phone meant for voice and SMS and will be available at Rs 1999. It comes with a standby battery time of up to six weeks, the longest ever for a Nokia phone.

It will also have a ‘call divert’ feature that will ensure users don’t miss a call from either of the two SIMs. Moreover, by simply holding down a key, a user will be able to switch between the two SIM cards in the phone. The colour screen phone has a flashlight and FM radio with standard headphone jack.

Nokia C2 will be priced around Rs 2500 and comes with services such as Ovi Life Tools and Ovi Mail. It also has a music player and supports micro-SD cards of up to 32 GB.

Nokia’s Ovi Life Tools provides users a range of information covering healthcare, agriculture, education and entertainment.
